Belfast International Arts Festival
Belfast International Arts Festival (BIAF) returns for our 62nd edition from 16 October – 23 November 2024. We are the city’s longest-running international arts event, operating in over 30 venues across Belfast and featuring the very best global and home grown artists in theatre, dance, music, visual arts, literature and film.
Our mission is to be the preeminent, progressive international arts event within Northern Ireland, actively engaging both global and local communities in the richness and diversity of contemporary arts. We believe that art has a key role to play in championing and exploring environmental causes, and are working together with our audiences, artistic partners and festival venues to achieve the most sustainable delivery of our events possible.
We are proud to be a part of the Green Arts NI network, and to have recently achieved the Green Tourism Silver Award (June 2024) for our current environmental practices.
We recognise that we can go even further with our sustainability efforts, and pledge to continually record and assess our carbon output, including our energy and water consumption, travel, digital activities and procurement. This will help us to create a baseline for realistic targets and support us to further reduce our environmental impact in a meaningful way.
