About Us
We believe that creativity and culture will be part of the solution to a greener, more sustainable society.
Reducing our environmental impact collectively & using creativity to inspire our cities to take action against climate change.
Green Arts NI is a sustainability network of over 100 individuals across almost 50 cultural and creative organisations across Northern Ireland who are working collectively to reduce our environmental impact, and using creativity to inspire our cities to take action against climate change.
We work as a collective to problem solve, to share knowledge and resources with one another, and come together through regular meetings.
The climate emergency and wider environmental crisis is a real concern. Together, the Green Arts NI network can improve our environment awareness, help inspire action amongst our sector, and signpost our environmental journey so we can make a positive impact in response to the crisis.
There hasn’t been a cultural conversation on climate change here until relatively recently. And it's right that it should happen in the cultural space, we need to be reflecting what society cares about and is concerned about.
