Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival
The Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival is an annual festival of music,
comedy, theatre, art and literature. Since its inception in 2000, CQAF
has grown into one of Belfast's most anticipated cultural events,
attracting both local and international talent. The festival typically
features a wide range of performances and events, from intimate gigs in
small venues to large-scale concerts, stand-up comedy shows, art
exhibitions, and literary readings. CQAF is known for its eclectic
programming, bringing together established artists and emerging talents
across different genres. The festival also includes workshops,
discussions, and other interactive events, making it an inclusive and
engaging experience for attendees. Its location in the Cathedral
Quarter, an area known for its creative and artistic community, adds to
the festival's unique atmosphere.
The festival usually takes place over 10 days in early May and is
accompanied by the Out to Lunch in January and Now Press Play, a music
documentary festival in October.
We are committed to enhancing our green arts initiatives, ensuring that
sustainability is at the heart of everything we create and share.
